Advantage Consulting and Solutions (ACAS) is seeking a transitioning Service Member to participate in the Department of Defense SkillBridge Program as a Project Manager supporting the Alabama Cybersecurity Fellowship Program (ACFP).
This unique opportunity combines IT management, cybersecurity operations, project management, workforce development, smart agriculture technologies, and operational leadership.
The participant will assist in managing ACAS’s technology operations between the Riley Creek Farms Smart Agriculture Project and the ACAS Innovation Lab/Security Operations Center (SOC). The role supports technology modernization, student workforce development, cybersecurity initiatives, cloud technologies, operational technology (OT), IoT systems, and day-to-day project execution while preparing the participant for civilian leadership positions.
The participant will gain experience managing multidisciplinary technical teams, coordinating stakeholders, supporting technology deployments, supervising project execution, and overseeing multiple concurrent initiatives in both commercial and government environments.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate daily operations between the Smart Agriculture project site and the ACAS office/lab.
- Manage multiple technology projects involving cybersecurity, cloud computing, IoT, AI, automation, networking, and smart agriculture systems.
- Support planning and execution of the Alabama Cybersecurity Fellowship Program.
- Coordinate student assignments, schedules, employer engagements, and project deliverables.
- Assist with supervision of Fellowship participants and technical mentors.
- Develop project plans, implementation schedules, budgets, risk assessments, and performance metrics.
- Track milestones, action items, project documentation, and stakeholder communications.
- Coordinate procurement and deployment of IT equipment, networking hardware, sensors, and operational technology.
- Support implementation of Microsoft 365, SharePoint, Power Platform, Azure, cybersecurity tools, and project management platforms.
- Coordinate with universities, community colleges, government agencies, and private-sector partners.
- Assist in developing standard operating procedures, technical documentation, and operational playbooks.
- Support cybersecurity awareness, vulnerability management, incident reporting, and security best practices.
- Monitor project performance using dashboards and reporting tools.
- Participate in executive planning meetings with company leadership.
- Support grant-funded workforce development initiatives and community engagement activities.
- Assist in planning future Smart Agriculture expansion projects throughout Alabama and the Southeast.
Requirements
- Secret Clearance (preferred but not required)
- Strong organizational and leadership skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Experience using Microsoft Office and Microsoft 365
